President of France Angels since 2003, Vice Chairman of the INSEAD Board since 1995 and Vice President of EBAN, the European trade association for Business Angels in Brussels, since 2004.
Having started his career in Europe as a consultant in the field of the Management of Innovation, Claude Rameau joined the INSEAD Faculty as a professor of Managerial Economics, Decision Making, Quantitative Analysis (1967-1975); he became Associate Dean for Executive Education (1973-1982) and Dean of INSEAD (1982-1993). Since 1995, he has been actively involved in venture capital and particularly in the development of Business Angels in France and Europe, creating a network of private equity investors - more than 80 networks in France alone, representing some 4,000 investors. He is a Founder and Member of the Investment Committee at Fa Dièse SAS. He was appointed Vice President of EFMD (Brussels, 1994-1998) and is currently a member of the Executive Committee. He is the Deputy Mayor of Melun (South of Paris) and has been awarded with the Légion d'Honneur. His Publications include two-volume programmed text on Les Statistiques: un Outil de Management and La Prise de Décision, and numerous articles on Management Education, Business Angels and Society.
