The endowed scholarship will increase access to the INSEAD MBA programme for talented students with financial need
INSEAD, The Business School for the World, announced today the creation of the Claude and Tuulikki Janssen Endowed Scholarship. Mrs. Tuulikki Janssen, wife of the late Claude Janssen, one of INSEAD’s founding fathers, has generously established the scholarship to fulfil the couple’s joint wish to support INSEAD students who face significant challenges in financing their education, particularly those from developing countries. The gift reflects their desire to maintain and further enhance diversity in the INSEAD student body for the long term.
Thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Janssen’s new gift, the INSEAD Force for Good Campaign has crossed the €300 million mark, a truly historic moment for the school.
Mr. and Mrs. Janssen have been deeply committed to INSEAD for over six decades. Indeed, Claude Janssen, together with General Georges Doriot, played a key role in the creation of INSEAD back in 1957 and the school became his life’s work.
Mrs. Janssen continues this pioneering spirit as a steadfast supporter of INSEAD’s vision and its mission to bring together people, cultures, and ideas to develop responsible leaders who transform business and society.

Mrs. Janssen hopes this gift will encourage many others to contribute towards scholarships to make quality business education accessible to talented students from all countries. She said, “We are living in a period of great economic uncertainty and need more capable young leaders to steer us through these challenging times. Scholarships are very important to help leading international business schools like INSEAD to cultivate the great business leaders of tomorrow – innovators who champion the potential of business to be a force for good. When we join forces to open the doors to success, the world will be a better place for all of us.”
Ilian Mihov, Dean of INSEAD, said, “As Dean, I know I speak for all alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends of INSEAD when I say that we owe our incredible good fortune and remarkable experiences to the dedication of Claude and Tuulikki Janssen. Their gift to scholarships will foster even stronger ties with the school for future students who will benefit from their generosity, knowing that it was created by the founders of the school.”
