INSEAD MBA Scholarships for African Students

Our suite of scholarships for African students aims to attract the best talent from the African region to INSEAD and at the same time, maintains the exceptional diversity which is a hallmark of the school. 

Here are a few scholarships for African applicants who are keen to embark on an MBA programme at INSEAD. 

African Student Scholarships

 

We have launched the Africa Leadership Fund scholarship to support its goal of admitting talented candidates from the African region. For those who are set back by financial difficulties, this scholarship will help them realise their dream of achieving an MBA at one of the top business schools in the world.

To honour the life and work of President Nelson Mandela of South Africa, the INSEAD MBA Class of '75 created an endowment at their 30th Class Reunion to provide financial support for one or more African participants per year at INSEAD in perpetuity.

This award was created with the generous support of David Suddens, MBA’78. It has been established to enable meritorious African MBA candidates pursue a world-class MBA at INSEAD. The scholarship contributes to increasing the representation of Africans in MBA programme and upholding INSEAD’s hallmark of diversity and global perspective.

The Trustees of the Greendale Foundation wish to provide access to the INSEAD MBA programme to disadvantaged Southern and East Africans who are committed to developing international management expertise in Africa and who plan their careers in the Southern and East African regions.

This scholarship was established by a group of recent INSEAD alumni in the spirit of giving back.
The donors wish to support the next generation of INSEAD MBA students from North Africa (The Maghreb). It is their hope that the scholarship will help to increase the number of INSEAD MBA students from this region.

This award was created with the generous support of the Pot Family Foundation (Wiet Pot, MBA’82 and family). The foundation has a strong commitment to supporting educational opportunities for talented students. Designed to help outstanding African MBA candidates pursue a world-class MBA at INSEAD, this award will also help to increase the representation of Africans in the classroom and uphold INSEAD’s hallmark of diversity and global perspective.

This scholarship fund was created in 2013 with the generous support of Renaud Lagesse (MBA'93D),an alumnus from the Republic of Mauritius. One scholarship award per academic year will be made to an MBA student from Southern or East Africa.

Classmates from 2007, Sam's family and friends, INSEAD staff and former colleagues have all contributed to this scholarship fund in memory of Sam Akiwumi '07D (a Ghana/UK national) who died tragically in the year he was at INSEAD. The scholarship is targeted at participants from Africa, with a preference for Ghanaians.
