Job Description

INSEAD Professor Ian Woodward, Director of INSEAD’s Advanced Management Programme, seeks a full-time research associate.  The position will support Prof. Woodward’s academic work in the area of Leadership Communication.  The responsibilities will include conducting research, gathering and analyzing data and examples, co-authoring articles, and drafting case studies.  In addition, the research associate will help with online toolkits documenting Leadership Communication teaching content for senior executives at INSEAD programmes. The associate will also receive coaching in teaching and pedagogical development at postgraduate and executive education levels as part of this work and work on the development of new course materials for the Leadership and Communication areas.

This is a two-year position, and the candidate must be willing to commit to a minimum of one year.  The Research Associate must be willing to be based in Singapore.

Candidates with a multidisciplinary educational background are welcome to apply.


  • Master degree or doctoral or post-doctoral studies
  • Strong preference for background in communications-related subjects.
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated interest in Organisational Behaviour, Leadership and Communication
  • Must be based in Singapore for the duration of the position
  • Availability to travel from Singapore to INSEAD’s Fontainebleau, France campus at least two times per year
