Job Description

Post-Doctoral Position in Entrepreneurship/Organizational Theory

The Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise (EFE) area at INSEAD seeks applications from scholars with expertise in entrepreneurship, strategic management, or organization theory for a postdoctoral position, starting on September 1, 2019.

The postdoctoral fellow will have residence in one or more of our campus locations during the period of the fellowship, be provided with a competitive salary and a research budget, and will be invited to join in the ongoing research of faculty, audit courses, and participate in the area seminars and workshops.

We are especially interested in candidates whose research interests have some overlap with those of our current faculty in terms of theoretical or methodological approaches. The possibility of applying for a tenure-track position at INSEAD upon completion of the post-doctoral fellowship remains open.

For more information about the EFE faculty interests and achievements, please consult our page www.insead.edu/faculty-research/academic-areas/entrepreneurship-family-enterprise

Location: INSEAD’s Europe Campus in France.

Duration: This is a one-year position, renewable for one additional year contingent on academic achievement

Qualifications:

  • Applicants must have completed a PhD in entrepreneurship, organizational theory, strategy, organizational behavior, or related social science discipline (e.g., sociology, finance) prior to the beginning the fellowship, and should have research, rather than a clinical focus.
  • A summary description of the applicant’s methodological skills should be included. Excellent academic record and work ethic required.
  • Excellent organizational and oral/written communication skills required.
  • Enthusiasm for research required.

Application:

To be considered for the position, please submit (1) curriculum vitae; (2) a brief profile of your research program, including datasets you have collected; (3) up to three research papers, one of which must come directly from your doctoral dissertation; and (4) up to three letters of recommendation. Applications and letters of recommendation may be submitted by email to Elodie Hardy (elodie.hardy@insead.edu). The review will begin immediately. Applications will be considered until the position is filled.

If you have any questions, please contact Prof. Ivana Naumovska, at ivana.naumovska@insead.edu.

INSEAD is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity as a source of enrichment. All qualified applicants will receive consideration without regard to their personal characteristics or orientation.
