Job Description

We are currently looking for an IT Project Manager, focusing on Faculty Information Systems projects, to join our IT department on our Fontainebleau campus. This is a permanent full-time position.

INSEAD will be implementing a Faculty Information System (FIS) soon. The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing the deployment of this new system, by collaborating with our Faculty department and other internal and external stakeholders. He/She is responsible for gathering clear business requirements, while working closely with the business analyst team. He/She guarantees the success of the planning phase, oversees deployments and provides support post deployment.

 

Main tasks include:

  • Project delivery: manage the entire project lifecycle from assessing the business problem; through definition, detailed planning, implementation and delivery.
  • Proposal & Planning: propose one or several well-documented, if applicable, financially established solutions clearly outlining the pros and cons of each in use cases.
  • Communication: facilitate seamless communication with key stakeholders along the progress of the project and ensure they can make well-informed decision.
  • Time management: develop and report regularly on the project status to business units, Steering Committee and managers.
  • Relationship management: build strong relationships between external and internal departments and IT; fostering trust, cooperation among all contributors and facilitate a healthy conversation.
  • Stakeholder engagement: act as a reliable key contact, share knowledge, give regular updates, provide guidance and be able to recommend solutions across multiple projects and business areas.
  • Standards/Innovation: Respects all relevant INSEAD’s standards (development, CI …) in his/her activities, under special application of all state of the art technical and ergonomic design standards. He/she commits also to perform all other tasks delegated by the manager to optimize efficiency of the entire IT Department according INSEAD’s management requirements.
  • Security and data: ensure to always follow and enforce the INSEAD security policies and practices through the project he/she manages.

 

The ideal candidate should have the following:

Education:

  • The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) ideally in Information Science, Business Management, Information Technology or other technology related field.
  • PMP Certification or equivalent (MSP for ex)
  • Scrum Master / Product Management certified

Work Experience:

  • Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in a project management role
  • Experience in implementing an HR information system, human capital management system and/or payroll system is required
  • Experience in a client-facing consultancy firm is preferred

Competencies:

  • Already work with AGILE practices
  • Demonstrated negotiation, conflict management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to weigh business and technical requirements to produce project plans and estimates.
  • Ability to lead both small and enterprise-wide engagements, facilitate meetings, mentoring teams of junior team members and effectively managing client escalations.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, high energy, team-oriented environment.
  • Experience with business process expertise around HR information systems, human capital management systems and/or payroll systems
  • Speak and write English and French Fluently
  • Have an excellent communication (both spoken and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Autonomous in the position and self-motivated
  • Rigorous and flexible
