Job Description

INSEAD brings together people, cultures and ideas to develop responsible leaders who transform business and society.  As one of the world's leading and largest graduate business schools, INSEAD offers participants a truly global educational experience. With locations in Europe (France), Asia (Singapore), the Middle East (Abu Dhabi) and North America (San Francisco) and alliances with top institutions, INSEAD's business education and research spans the globe. Our 165 renowned faculty members from 41 countries inspire more than 1,300 students in our degree and PhD programmes. In addition, more than 11,000 executives participate in INSEAD's executive education programmes each year.

We are currently looking for a new Associate Director, Development, to join our Advancement department. This is a full-time, permanent position based on our Fontainebleau campus.

Philanthropic relationships with alumni, individuals and organisations are critical to supporting excellence and academic innovation.  The Advancement Department, partnering with the INSEAD community and beyond, are realizing – and surpassing – ambitious objectives in engagement and philanthropic support via the current Force for Good Campaign.  It is a truly exciting time to join the Major Gift Team within Advancement to further contribute to this highly successful effort.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Development, you will be responsible for identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding high level donor relationships, with a focus on several countries in Europe, including Belgium, Germany, and Switzerland.  As an internal advocate for the fundraising strategy, you will provide a coordinated approach with faculty, staff colleagues and senior volunteers.

The ideal candidate should have the following:

  • Extensive experience working in major gift fundraising and campaign development, preferably in an academic environment
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills
  • Ability to effectively manage a range of key stakeholders
  • Be diplomatic, energetic, fun, positive and culturally sensitive, with openness to a multi-cultured organization
  • The ability to think creatively and entrepreneurially while staying organised and metrics based
  • Fluency in English
  • Fluency or advanced ability in French would be a distinct asset

If you would like to hear more about this exciting opportunity and believe you have the skills, aptitude and commitment to join an Advancement team in one of the world’s leading business schools, please send your resume and cover letter to [email protected]
