Hélène Ploix, MBA'68

 

Co-Founding Partner, Pechel Industries

Hélène Ploix joined Pechel in 1997. She was appointed Chairman of the Investment Committee of Pechel Industries in January 2017.

Previously, she worked at the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignations (1989-1995) as Deputy Chief Executive Officer in charge of Banking and Financial Activities. In that capacity, she was Chairman of CDC Participations (managed fund of €1.5 billion of which €600 millions in capital investments). She was also Director and then Chairman of Association Française des Investisseurs en Capital (AFIC), the French Private Equity Association (2001-2002).

Hélène held several positions in the public sector (Advisor to the Prime Minister for Economic and Financial Affairs, Executive Director of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank) and in the private sector (President of the BIMP where she created the first private equity fund in France, Director of the CEP (Compagnie Européenne de Publication) and Management Consultant at McKinsey & Co (1968-1978) where she began her career).

She is a graduate of L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques (IEP) (Paris), holds a Master’s in Public Administration from University of California at Berkeley and holds an MBA from INSEAD.
