Frédéric Lemoine

 

Chairman of the Executive Board, Wendel Group

Frédéric Lemoine is a graduate of the HEC business school (1986) and of the Institut d'Etudes Politiques de Paris (1987). He is an alumnus of the Ecole Nationale d'Administration ("Victor Hugo" class) and an Inspecteur des finances. 

In 1992-1993, he served as General Secretary of the Heart Institute of Hô Chi Minh-City, Vietnam of the Alain Carpentier Foundation, which supports this hospital. From 1995 to 1997, he was deputy chief of staff of the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs (Jacques Barrot), in charge of coordinating national health insurance system and hospital reforms. From 1997 to 2002, he worked with Serge Kampf at Capgemini as CFO, being named Group VP in charge of finance of Capgemini Ernst & Young in 2000. From May 2002 to June 2004, he was the deputy General Secretary of French Presidency (Jacques Chirac), in charge of economic and financial affairs and other areas. From October 2004 to May 2008, he was a Senior Advisor at McKinsey. From March 2005 to April 2009, he was Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Areva.

Since April 7, 2009, he is Chairman of the Executive Board of Wendel, a 10 billion euros assets listed long term investment company. He is also member of the board of Bureau Veritas and Saint-Gobain. 

He is a Knight of the National Order of Merit and a Knight of the National Order of the Legion of Honor. He was Young Leader of the French American Foundation.
