Haris Tiew is a Pre-Doctoral Researcher under the Economics & Political Science department of INSEAD.
He obtained his bachelor's degree from Monash University with majors in Econometrics and Business Statistics as well as in Applied Economics. He holds a master's degree in Economics from the Australian National University. His research interest spans from Macroeconomics, Development, Labor, and Applied Econometrics.
Prior to joining INSEAD, he worked as a consultant for The World Bank in the Malaysia country office. He conducted analytical and advisory work as well as public policy and applied economics research, specifically in the areas of private sector development, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
