Felix Jan Nitsch is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Marketing Area at INSEAD Business School, where he studies consumer behaviour under stress together with Hilke Plassmann.
Felix’s research focuses on transformative consumer research: how do stress and mental well-being affect consumption (e.g. dietary decisions, status seeking) and what are beneficial interventions and nudges to support consumers in their decisions? To this end, he uses behavioural and psychobiological methods, integrating insights from marketing, psychology and neuroscience.
Before joining INSEAD, Felix received a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology with highest distinction (summa cum laude) at Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf (Germany).
His research has been published in peer-reviewed academic journals such as Psychoneuroendocrinology, Social, Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience, Royal Society Open Science and Data-in-Brief.
