Isabelle Solal holds a PhD in Management (Organisational Behaviour) and an MBA from INSEAD, as well as degrees in French, English, and European law. Her primary area of research is on the role of gender in shaping labor and financial markets in a manner that leads to segmentation and unequal distribution of resources. Her dissertation examines the processes that contribute to the underrepresentation of women among funded entrepreneurs. She is also interested in the relationship between compensation structures and gender differences in turnover and career mobility. Prior to entering academia, Isabelle worked as an attorney.
