- Richard N. Farmer Best Dissertation Award, 1995, Academy of International Business.

- Eldridge Haynes Prize ($5,000 awarded to a scholar under forty for the best original essay in international business), 1998, Academy of International Business.

- Top 50 Papers Winner: Emerald 2010 Citations of Excellence Award. (Article awarded: Rangan & Sengul, Information technology and transnational integration, Journal of International Business Studies, 2009).

- Nominee (one of two) from the Organization and Management Theory division of the Academy of Management for the AOM Carolyn Dexter Award, 2005.
