How does GO-LIVE differ from Online programmes and Live-Virtual programmes?

As opposed to Online programmes where the learning is self-paced and within a set timeframe, GO-Live programmes are delivered in real-time, at set times, using next-generation technology. Participants log-in to a virtual amphitheatre where interaction with faculty and peers is fluid and the exchange in the classroom remains as dynamic and as engaging as an INSEAD classroom. Live-Virtual programmes are delivered either through the same platform as GO-Live or using Zoom. What’s more, Live-Virtual delivers the same content and learning of a face-to-face Open Enrolment Programme - whereas GO-Live programmes have been specifically developed for this platform.

Q. Does GO-Live qualify for the Certificate in General Management (CGM) or discounts on INSEAD’s Online programmes?

Q. What is the general profile of GO-Live participants and my programme? Will I ‘meet’ my classroom peers?

Each classroom is restricted to 45 participants to ensure a high calibre learning experience and quality of exchange. And each programme welcomes a broad and rich range of executives from different industries, job functions and career stages.

Roughly one week before day one of the programme you will be granted access to the Study platform so that you may access pre-readings and/or case studies. From here, you will also be able to consult the full list of profiles in your virtual classroom. Programmes will usually involve breakout sessions for small group work during which you will have the opportunity to meet and exchange with peers more easily. Also, you may wish to talk to fellow peers during breaks.

Q. How many participants will be in the virtual classroom with me?

Each GO-Live programme welcomes 45 participants maximum per delivery – e.g. 45 participants for a morning delivery, and 45 participants for an afternoon delivery.

Q. Is there a maximum number of participants from one organisation per session?

To ensure a rich learning experience for all, we allow up to five executives from the same organisation per programme/session.

Q. Can I mix and match sessions i.e. attend sessions in the morning and afternoon – or vice versa?

Sessions are not interchangeable (i.e. participants cannot participate in a morning half-day from one session, and the rest from another session in the afternoon). However, prior to the programme log-in release participants may request to transfer to another session. We will do our best to accommodate such requests however this will depend on the number of people already enrolled.

Q. Is there any pre-programme work and if so, when will I receive this? Also, when will I have access to the platform?

A week before the programme starts you will receive an email from INSEAD providing you with your unique and personal access code and link to enrol on the programme (please monitor your junk folder in case it ends up here). As soon as you receive this email and to avoid complications on the day of the programme, we strongly advise that you click on the link and complete your enrolment straight away.

Pre-reading work will be uploaded into the Study platform and will be available to participants as soon as they receive their access codes.

As soon as you receive your unique access codes, we strongly encourage you to log into the platform and follow set-up procedures to ensure you do not encounter issues on the day of the programme.

Q. Are there any tests or assignments, and is there any post-programme follow up?

Programmes do not involve tests or assignments or post-programme follow-up. If, however, faculty design the programme otherwise you will be notified early.

Q. Will participants receive recordings of the sessions?

Yes, post-programme the coordinator will arrange for the recordings to be uploaded into the Study platform so that participants can replay sessions as need be.

Q. Will participants get a certificate of completion, digital or physical?

Upon completion of the programme, participants will receive a digital GO-Live badge to post on their LinkedIn profile and to leverage amongst their network.

There is, however, no test in place nor certification for GO-Live programmes. We will review certification in the near future and will keep past participants informed should this change.

Q. Which browser can I use to connect to GO-Live?

We recommend Google Chrome browser which is fully compatible. Otherwise you can connect using the latest version of Microsoft Edge, Mozilla Firefox or Safari if connecting on MAC.

Please do not use Internet Explorer.

Q. What happens if participants miss a portion of a session because of technical difficulties?

Participants with internet connection issues are welcome to join a bit late. However, in the case that the majority of the teaching and/or group work has been missed it may not be worthwhile to attend the remainder of the session. This would need to be judged on a case-by-case basis, by both the participant and in particular the faculty given their visibility on the programme design, desired outcomes and learning of the class.

If connection issues persist and the majority of the teaching is missed, we will endeavor to welcome you into an alternative session or programme.

When it comes to checking internet connections and accessing the Barco platform, participants must do so following guidelines stipulated on the website and in confirmation emails, for example using Google Chrome (only) and logging-in and testing the system well before day 1 of the programme.

Q. Is there a specific time of day that enrolment closes?

Yes – the deadline is 5pm central European time (CET)

Q. What is the process for those needing to pay by bank transfer?

Participants can request an invoice form by emailing [email protected]. Once your form is complete and returned, it will be sent to our finance department which will issue you with an invoice. Once payment is received, the participant(s) will be manually enrolled on the programme.

Q. What is GO-Live’s refund policy?

INSEAD reserves the right to impose a 100% cancellation fee for less than 2 weeks’ notice of cancellation or no-attendance.
