Fun Digital Young Alumni Reunion 2022

Welcome

Dear Alumni,

As you have experienced for yourself, INSEAD is truly a unique institution. So, in keeping with the school’s entrepreneurial spirit, we continue to innovate, and we are excited to announce the first edition of our FUN 1-Year Digital Young Alumni Reunion!

The INSEAD Jones adventure you will be embarking on will prove that a digital reunion doesn’t have to be any less fun! We have incorporated a virtual team game element into the programme, that enables you to easily reconnect with your classmates from wherever you are in the world. The programme will include:

• Update from INSEAD and the INSEAD Alumni Association
• Competition with the other promotions – the objective is to discover a masked guest
• “Race around the World” competition with your own classmates
• Social time with your classmates

I want to thank the class volunteers who, together with the Young Alumni Initiative and the Advancement team, have enthusiastically contributed to the development and promotion of this programme, so that you can relive those special INSEAD memories.

I look forward to seeing many of you online and creating some new “FUN” memories.

Programme

Your Reunion on Saturday will start with an opening address by Emily Robin, Senior Director of Development, followed by a school update from Peter Zemsky, Deputy Dean and Dean of Innovation, Nida Januskis EMBA’23Jan, Associate Dean of Advancement, and Marius Olsen MBA'11J, IAA VP Young Alumni Engagement.

You will first be competing against the other promotions, to uncover a masked guest before you race around the world paired up in small teams of your own classmates and end with your class meeting.

You come to INSEAD to build your network. Then, as alumni, you’re regularly reminded of the importance and value of…your network. Yet you spend 10 months at INSEAD—and its many (many!) opportunities to network—with minimal guidance about with whom you should connect and how. Rather than an instrumental approach to networking, which is likely to leave you feeling uncomfortable at best, I will talk about the why, the what, and the how of building your professional community. Based on what we know about networks and on-going research with communities of super connectors, I offer some insights to help you think through your most valuable professional asset.”.

Giving back

All returning classes are fundraising, and a large majority of alumni make a gift to the Dean’s Fund for their reunion anniversary. The Dean’s Fund gives the school flexibility to provide support in areas of greatest need, such as scholarships, research and innovation – last year around 60% of the Dean’s Fund went towards scholarships.

There are a variety of designations available to support including the Hoffman Global Institute for Business, Faculty & Research, and Digital@INSEAD. All gifts made will count towards the class giving total and the INSEAD Force For Good campaign.
