MASTERCLASS

Modern AI - How Can Small Countries Compete with Big Tech?

Professor Philip M. Parker, Ph.D. (Wharton) is the INSEAD Chair Professor of Management Science. For the last 25 years, he has specialized in generative AI, and implemented working platforms in Africa, Latin America, and Asia. Some of his projects have been funded by multi-nationals and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He will be presenting an ambitious project from INSEAD's TotoGEO AI lab that can accelerate, if not surpass, many advances in artificial intelligence that can be applied to the context of national markets. Many efforts fail to gain traction due to a lack of localization and expertise. These can be overcome given the advances illustrated by large language models (GPT) and rule-based AI. Proposals for local adoption within smaller countries will be proposed and discussed.
