The theme of this session is how new operational models, which overhaul existing ways of producing and delivering products to the market, can become core engines driving disruptive innovation in business. Our discussion will focus on the fashion apparel industry, one of the oldest but also most dynamic industries today. We will start by understanding what drives the success of the current cycle of fast fashion business models. The second part of the discussion will be about what lies ahead for this industry: how new technologies and sustainability threaten fast fashion, and the new business models that promise to disrupt it.
