Meet EMC Programme Directors in Amsterdam
You are warmly invited to attend our upcoming Roundtable discussion with our Programme Directors on Self-as-instrument: how can you enhance your effectiveness in change processes? With the speed and complexity of today’s developments and challenges, constant change is a given. The EMC programme revolves around the question why change is often a difficult and messy process. We believe that leading change is in part so difficult because we have incomplete or wrong assumptions of both human complexity and organisational complexity. In this session, we will discuss the concept of self-as-instrument that is used at EMC. This concept is embedded in the system-psychodynamic paradigm that offers a new lens for understanding the unconscious and non-rational aspects of self, other individuals, and organisations. We will explore how can you make use of our own felt experiences to enrich your observation capacities, create space for collective thinking and sense making and lead transformation. We will give examples of how this concept will change the way you work and lead in various roles within and with organisations. Please register to confirm your participation.Joining us at this event: Host:Katharina Kopf | Assistant Director, EMC, Marketing & RecruitmentSpeakers:Erik Van De Loo | Affiliate Professor of Organizational Behaviour Saskia De Maat | Adjunct Professor of Organsational BehaviourVenue: Hotel Park Plaza Victoria, Damrak 1-5, 1012 LG Amsterdam (Map)Agenda:6:00 pm | Registration and welcome6:30 pm | Informal Discussion and Q&A with Programme Directors around finger food and drinks8:00 pm | Closing
