INSEAD Celebrates Women

6 March - 15 March 2018

In the context of the iW50 initiative, the broader INSEAD community is invited to join the celebration of women’s achievements during International Women’s Day. Through the involvement of alumni, faculty, staff and students, we aim to draw attention to a variety of issues concerning women and to developing and advancing women in business.

Building on the experience and success of previous editions, INSEAD is pleased to offer a series of events on all three campuses (Asia, Europe & Middle East) to increase awareness of the role of women in society. The IWD program will showcase the school's thought leadership in cutting-edge research topics, and will include screenings of thought-provoking and enlightening films as well as live music and treats.

Click on the respective campus links on the left to see and sign up for the various activities.

Faculty Lecture: Warmth and competence in the workplace

by Kaisa Snellman

How do you exert influence in the workplace? The secret may lie in how you say it, not what you say. Female leaders often fight to prove their competence and strength in the workplace. As a result, they can come across as “tough” or “pushy. ”But research suggests that a leader doesn’t need to be tough to be effective. In fact, the combination of “warmth” plus “competence” seems to offer the winning formula for success.

Color Analysis Raffle offered by Cris Jacomél, Image coach & consultant, MBA Partner

I am an Image Consultant Certified by Ecole Supérieure de Relooking, and since we are celebrating this beautiful day at Insead, I would like to offer one woman a Color Analysis as a raffle prize for this day.

But you might be thinking, “What is a Color Analysis?”  Well, Color Analysis is one part of the process of Image Consulting, where I analyze which are the best colors that better suit your natural skin and hair color. These colors go for clothing, accessories, make up colors and so on.  It’s a nice way as a path towards self knowledge and how to stand out from the crowd.

To put your name into the draw, click on the following link  *
Please note that the Color Analysis is open to women only.

Good luck everyone and Happy International Women's Day!!

*The raffle will close on Friday 9 March end of day and the winner will be contacted personally next week to schedule the analysis.
