Digital transformation: a force for a better world?

16-17 June 2017, Paris, France

New venue:  Yoyo, Palais de Tokyo

Even as technological advances continue to amaze us with new possibilities, the old confidence that societal progress and well-being will follow is waning.  There is also considerable uncertainty arising from the depth and reach of the digital evolution that we are living through: more and more traditional industries are facing the prospect of disruption by digital technologies and business models. While change is far from linear and deterministic, the underlying forces driving digital transformation are strong, with almost free computing power and storage conveniently packaged in the cloud and easily accessed via ubiquitous smart phones and high speed networks.  The implications for business and society promise to be as profound as the industrial revolution that arose from the advent of mass production and large scale enterprises.

The INSEAD Alumni Forum Europe 2017 explores:

- current and emerging technological trends and resulting major digital, social and technical disruptions

- how these disruptions impact business models, leadership and management practices, employees and broader society, as well as social forces fueled by anxiety with economic dislocation, lost privacy and lack of security

- how businesses will have to translate current and emerging technological possibilities into strategies, commercial success in the global market in terms of new innovative business models, jobs, types of employment, education and life-long learning

Since its inception, INSEAD’s mission has been to develop value-driven global business leaders who we believe can help the world address these challenges and reaffirm that business can be a force for good.  Join us for indepth discussions and exchange on what it will take for digital to deliver a better world, one with both profitable growth and societal progress.

This programme will also include some "party time" in two iconic Parisian venues on Friday and Saturday evening, giving you plenty of occasions to network and meet up with your INSEAD friends. So stay tuned for further details about the forum, speakers and social programme.

If you are not a member of the French NAA but would like to find out more about the many diverse activities of our community, click here and join us.

We look forward to seeing you soon in Paris !

Warm greetings from the French Alumni Association
