Daniel Lalonde is President & CEO of SMCP (Sandro, Maje, Claudie Pierlot), Paris, a global leading fashion company based in Paris. SMCP is owned by private equity Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR).
Daniel Lalonde joined SMCP after a 25-year international career in Europe and North America. In his last position, he was International President of the Ralph Lauren Corporation, based in New York.
Prior to that, he spent 10 years at LVMH, where he held the posts of President & CEO of LVMH Watches & Jewelry North America, and later President & CEO of Louis Vuitton North America, and lastly President & CEO of Moët & Chandon globally. Prior to joining LVMH, Daniel Lalonde was most notably Global Chief Operating Officer of Nestlé Nespresso SA, and President & CEO of Nespresso North America.
His earlier experience includes strategy consulting assignments for prestigious clients in wines and spirits, consumer goods, and technology.
Daniel holds an MBA from INSEAD, France where he currently serves on the Board of Directors.
He received a Bachelor of Mathematics degree with Honors from the University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada.
