Family Enterprise Day

Next-Gen Here to Shape the Future of Family Businesses
Family Enterprise Day virtual edition
25 September 2021, 9AM CEST / 3PM SGT (2.5 hrs)
Family Enterprise Day
Next-Gen Here to Shape the Future of Family Businesses
Successful family business owners have a long view on prosperity and posterity. The transition of leadership and control from the founders to the next generations is a necessary yet complex process. Besides the emotional aspect of trusting the Next-Gen to perpetuate the vision for the business, the founders would have to strike the right balance between supporting and challenging for the long-term sustainability of the business.
On the other hand, the Next-Gen has to navigate the evolving economic landscape to anticipate the emerging trends and define what it means for the future of their family business. This could result in the reviewing of business strategy to drive positive environmental and social impact, changing the business model, investing in new ventures, divesting in others, diversifying its family office portfolio, or even transferring the legacy business.
The transition from the stewardship of owners and founders to the leadership of Next-Gen is an opportunity for business transformation. Next generation leaders are motivated to perpetuate the legacy with renewed perspective on family enterprise governance and its patriarchal structure while keeping family values at the core. They often play a key role in professionalising the family enterprise and fostering the structures for better family communication and wealth management for long-term growth.
Join us for the virtual Family Enterprise Day as we glean insights from academic experts, distinguished family enterprise guest speakers and MBA panelists on some of the key challenges and opportunities facing Next-Gen transition in family businesses today. Engage with us for a stimulating exchange on:
- Processes involved in Next-Gen Transition
- Navigating the Dynamic Duality of Challenge and Support
- Empowering Next-Gen for success
We welcome all registered participants to an inspiring 2.5-hour session of learning and exchange!
