Jaap Winter is partner of Phyleon leadership & governance, advising boards and executives. He was President of The Executive Board of the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (2013-2017). Before that, he was partner of law firm De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek. Jaap is a leading corporate governance scholar and practitioner in Europe. He is Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Royal Schiphol Group, chairman of the Board of the Van Gogh Museum, chairman of the Board of the Erasmus Universiteit Rotterdam, and chairman of the Board of Stichting ADORE. He is Visiting Professor of Corporate Governance at INSEAD, professor of international company law at the University of Amsterdam and professor of Corporate Law, Governance and Behaviour at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam.
