Biography

Isabelle Rao is a postdoctoral research fellow at INSEAD in the Technology and Operations Management area. She works with Stephen Chick in the Healthcare Management Initiative. Isabelle received her PhD in Operations Research from Stanford University, where she was advised by Margaret Brandeau. Before coming to Stanford, she received a M.S in Applied Mathematics from Ecole Centrale Paris.

Her research integrates tools from operations research, epidemiology, computer science and health economics to inform critical decisions in public policy and personalized medicine. The goal is to develop interpretable models that can provide actionable insights for operational and policy decisions in healthcare. Recently, her work has focused on the areas of COVID-19, opioid abuse and epidemic control
