Rutvi’s passion for education and gender equality was deeply influenced by her grandmother, who never had the opportunities she dreamed of. Determined to ensure her children and grandchildren would not face the same barriers, her grandmother instilled in the family a belief in the transformative power of education. This legacy of perseverance and hope left a lasting imprint on Rutvi, motivating her to dedicate her career to empowering others through learning. Reflecting on this, Rutvi shares, "My grandmother passed on to me the belief that education can transform lives."
Rutvi’s work with the NGO Make a Difference (MAD), where she mentored students and taught English and Mathematics, highlighted the stark lack of support systems for many children, especially girls in India. This experience deepened her commitment to ensuring others have the opportunities she was fortunate to receive. Later, at Azent, an edtech company with a female-led team, Rutvi helped revolutionise overseas education while mentoring junior women and fostering a supportive environment. Her belief in empowering women as a catalyst for progress became central to her work, shaping her vision for creating inclusive spaces in the future.
Receiving the INSEAD Women’s Scholarship holds profound meaning for Rutvi. It represents not only financial support but also the belief of our generous donors in her potential to make a difference. The scholarship has given her the freedom to focus on her studies and her personal development, without the added weight of financial concerns. For Rutvi, this scholarship is a symbol of the same opportunities her grandmother sought to provide—a testament to the impact that access to education can have across generations.
Rutvi is deeply grateful to the donors whose generosity has made this opportunity possible. "Your support reminds me that I am not just working toward my own success, but towards a future where more women can thrive," she reflects. The scholarship has strengthened her commitment to creating inclusive spaces and advancing opportunities for women, and it serves as a powerful reminder that when one person is uplifted, the ripple effect can transform entire communities.
This belief motivates her to make the most of her time at INSEAD, carrying forward the values that the scholarship represents. In doing so, Rutvi hopes to inspire the next generation of women leaders and create a legacy of opportunity, just as her grandmother did.
