Karen Fawcett, MBA'88
Co-founder, Katfish Holdings
Karen is seasoned leader of finance and consulting businesses and now pursuing sustainable fish farming alongside her non-executive and advisory roles.
She is a co-founder of Katfish Holdings based in Singapore and currently a member of the INSEAD Board, and Audit and Risk Committee, the Girton College Campaign Board and an active advisor to Fintech and Payments businesses.
Karen was formerly a member of the global management team of Standard Chartered Bank with 16 year career across wholesale and retial banking and global strategy, brand and marketing. Most recently she was the CEO Retail Banking and Group Head, Brand & Marketing. She was responsible for the global retail banking strategy across all 30 countries serving 10 million clients, in addition to leading the global brand and marketing strategy across all the Bank’s businesses and regions. Earlier, Karen led Transaction Banking.and served as Group Head of Wholesale Banking Strategy. She was a Non-Executive Director of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Bhd and Merchant Solutions.
Prior to her career in banking, Karen was a Partner with Booz Allen Hamilton focussing on financial services in the Asia-Pacific region with a focus on strategic, operational and technological transformations.
Karen earned her MA in economics from Cambridge and her MBA from INSEAD.
