Insead Entrepreneurship Club (IEC) is a key component of INSEAD's new strategy to make this the best business school in the world for entrepreneurship. 

The club is as a forum for MBA students to share entrepreneurial ideas and experiences, develop networking opportunities with current and future entrepreneurs and investors, and provide access to entrepreneurial resources.  It is also an important conduit for communication between alumni involved in entrepreneurship and early stage financing and the entrepreneurial core of the school.  The IEC has an important task of coordinating and building on entrepreneurial initiatives of INSEAD. 

As students come and go, the IEC Advisory Council, comprising a small number of alumni, provides guidance and support, as well as the necessary continuity of knowledge and initiatives.

Students benefit from opportunities for firsthand entrepreneurship experiences and have a chance to prepare and pitch their ideas as part of the INSEAD Business Venture Competition, which takes place twice a year.  They also benefit from close relationships with INSEAD Entrepreneurship faculty.  The INSEAD Global Entrepreneurship Forum (GEF), organised by the IEC (an annual networking event for entrepreneurs and early stage investors taking place in June and a sister event to the IPEC conference organised by the Private Equity club) provides a rare opportunity to liaise with a large entrepreneurial network, including many entrepreneurs and investors from outside of the INSEAD community. 

The club is run in a very informal manner, preserving the entrepreneurial spirit and students with new ideas are very much encouraged to put them into practice.
