Charter of the Centre
The INSEAD Social Science Research Centre (ISSRC) offers behavioural researchers in management and related disciplines a means to collect primary data. It is open to research in any academic discipline at INSEAD (e.g., organisational behaviour, decision sciences, consumer behaviour, experimental economics, behavioural finance).
Description
The ISSRC is a research centre offering state-of-the-art facilities to present participants with highly structured tasks and to obtain responses from them under well-controlled conditions. Typical research methods include questionnaires, computer tasks (e.g., response time measurement), or observations of group behaviour. The ISSRC is located next to Sorbonne University in downtown Paris, which means we are close to a large number of students as well as to consumers in one of Paris's busiest shopping districts.

Activities
Since the opening in September 2002, more than 30,000 people have participated in different studies at the ISSRC. The centre's research has appeared in academic and non-academic journals, such as the Journal of Experimental Social Psychology, the Journal of Consumer Research, the Financial Times, and the Social Psychology Quarterly.

The centre offers a number of services to researchers, such as recruitment of participants and computer programming. Because our participants are French-speaking, we provide translation services for English-speaking researchers (including back translation). We also organize a battery of questionnaires twice a year, open to all INSEAD faculty members and all INSEAD PhD students, in which individual researchers can include short questionnaires.
