Peter Williamson is Affiliate Professor of International Strategy and Asian Business at the INSEAD in Fontainebleau and Singapore. With a first degree in economics, his business career began in banking with Merrill Lynch in London, Singapore and New York. He then went on to complete his Ph.D in Business Economics at Harvard University. This was followed by four years with The Boston Consulting Group working on client assignments in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
Professor Williamson was Dean of MBA Programmes at the London Business School and Visiting Professor of Global Strategy and Management at Harvard Business School.
Peter has acted as consultant on business strategy, international expansion, mergers and acquisitions and alliances to numerous companies throughout the Asia-Pacific region as well as in Europe and North America. He has been actively involved in a number of joint ventures in China since 1983. Peter serves as a non-executive director of several companies including Glenmorangie Plc, Energy Edge Ltd, Imparta Ltd. (Chairman) and the global hedge fund manager, TGM Ltd (Chairman).
