Professor Delquié’s research and teaching are in decision making, risk, and multi-objective analysis. His work focuses on advanced tools and methods to guide management decision and risk appraisal, and how to best integrate judgment and human factors in decision processes. Recent topics addressed include: models and measures of risk, risk taking propensity, and the value of information acquisition to reduce risks. Some of Professor Delquié’s works have been published in leading academic journals such as Management Science; Risk, Decision & Policy; or the Journal of Risk and Uncertainty. His research finds applications in areas where strategic planning and decision complexity is compounded by risks, conflicting goals, lack of information, and behavioral issues.
Philippe Delquié holds MS and PhD degrees from MIT, and a Civil Engineering Diploma from the École Nationale des Travaux Publics, Lyon, France. Prior to joining INSEAD, he has held academic appointments at the University of Texas at Austin, École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, France, and he has also been a visiting faculty at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.
