Dominique Héau is Professor of Business Policy at INSEAD and Associate Dean for INSEAD Executive MBA Programme. A graduate of HEC and IEP in Paris, he holds a MBA (with distinction) and a DBA from Harvard Business School.
Professor Héau has been associated with INSEAD since 1973. He has been Director of the Advanced Management Programme from 1981 to 1987 and from 1993 until 2002. He has also been the Associate Dean of Executive Education, as well as a member of INSEAD Board of Directors. Since September 2002, he is responsible for conceiving and launching INSEAD new Executive MBA in Singapore as well as in Fontainebleau. Professor Héau also directs the PGA programme, a top executive course for Brazilian Executives. He has been Visiting Professor at Wharton School, Philadelphia, at Fundacao Dom Cabral, Belo Horizonte and at Cape Town University.
Professor Héau has published numerous articles and over 15 case studies in the field of Strategic Management. His main research interests involve the strategic challenges facing European firms in this new millennium, and more particularly the organizational requirements for competitive success. Lately Professor Héau has focused his attention on Financial Services, both from a strategic perspective (universal banking; cross border mergers) and from an organizational point of view (matrix management; sharing of best practices).
Besides his academic activities, Professor Héau is also an active consultant with a great variety of clients such as IBM, Solvay or Crédit Agricole, where he intervenes on matters of strategic and organizational choice.
