Baptiste Lebreton is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Henry Ford Chair of Manufacturing. Baptiste holds a French Masters degree in Management from Rennes 1 (2000) as well as its German equivalent (Diplom Kaufmann) from the University of Augsburg (2001).
Baptiste has completed his doctoral degree at the University of Augsburg (2005) on the strategic impact of closed-loops for original equipement manufacturers in collaboration with electronics and automotive firms (see Springer link).
Baptiste's main research interests are in strategic supply chain planning, reverse logistics as well as in the impact of information technology on corporate efficiency. From the beginning of his academic career, Baptiste has been acting as a consultant on supply chain optimization, reverse logistics and supply chain controlling in the automotive, chemical and computer industry. He is currently project manager of the B3 workgroup (Business Interoperability
Research) in the EU-funded Athena research project on interoperability.
