Karan Girotra is Assistant Professor of Technology and Operations Management at INSEAD. He holds a PhD in Managerial Sciences and Applied Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, an AM degree from the Wharton School and a Bachelor of Technology degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. At INSEAD, he teaches in the MBA and PhD programs.

Karan’s main research interests are in the areas of operations management and innovation management. He is particularly interested in the scientific management of multi-stage innovation processes (such as new drug development) and the economics of global sourcing.
