Decision Sciences
The area of Decision Sciences includes risk management, decision making under uncertainty, statistics and forecasting, operations research, negotiation and auction analysis, and behavioral decision theory.

Economics and Political Science
The faculty in the Economics and Political Science area teaches courses in microeconomics, political analysis, macroeconomics, game theory and other fields of economics. The faculty conducts research on the topics of banking, monetary and fiscal policy, regulation, sustainable development, European integration and industrial organization.

Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise
The area of Entrepreneurship includes topics of the entrepreneurial process, business models, business development, nascent entrepreneurship, serial entrepreneurship, incumbent and new entrant strategic alliances. It also includes management buy-outs and buy-ins, the role of networks and social capital in the entrepreneurial process, entrepreneurial behavior in large corporations, and managing growth. Family business, organizational evolution and growth, value creation, leadership, private equity and venture capital are also included.

The Finance area includes the topics of capital markets, commercial and investment banking, corporate finance, financial markets and institutions.

The area of Marketing includes: branding, B2B marketing, consumer behavior, customer relationship management, customer/behavioral decision making, customer centricity, distribution channels, e-business, forecasting, innovation, international marketing, advertising, new product development, pharmaceutical marketing, pricing, promotion, retailing, sales force management, service management, strategic marketing and transaction cost analysis.

Organisational Behaviour
Our research covers many topics such as leadership, negotiations, team dynamics, virtual communication, career transition, identity, social networks, dispute resolution, organizational innovation, change, decision making, national and organizational culture, diversity, and power and politics.

The area of Strategy encompasses the topics of business policy, corporate development, corporate governance, global strategy, innovation, international management, organizational learning and negotiation analysis.

Technology and Operations Management
The field of Operations Management has been changing dramatically due to the emergence of a truly global economy, significant advances in information and process technology, and the continued growth of services. The Technology and Operations Management Area (TOM) therefore focuses on value creation on a global scale through innovative product and process design, project management as well as on value capture through effective supply chain management.
