Recent events… Haiti Earthquake – Reaction from the INSEAD Humanitarian Research Group INSEAD Professor Luk Van Wassenhove, Director of INSEAD's Social Innovation Centre, and Programme Manager Rolando Tomasini, have been monitoring the crisis in Haiti since the 7.1 earthquake struck Tuesday, including being in touch with relevant NGOs, companies and governments who are providing aid and support to the victims and the country. In this first of several ongoing updates, the team looks at the status of relief efforts, from the vantage point of their decade of research into humanitarian logistics. More... INSEAD Social Entrepreneurship Programme: A Thriving and Dynamic Global Network Some of the most innovative social entrepreneurs from over 30 countries gathered to participate in the 2009 INSEAD’s Social Entrepreneurship Programme (ISEP). This executive education programme experienced its strongest demand to date and resulted in an extraordinary pool of talent and diversity of social ventures seldom assembled in an intensive and intimate setting. The next reunion will be held at INSEAD's European Campus in Fontainebleau, France on Friday 22 and Saturday 23 January 2010. The event will take place in Amphi A on Friday 22 January 2010. On Saturday 23 January 2010, 4 simultaneous sessions will be run in Amphis A, B, MBA’70 and de Vitry in the main INSEAD building. More... Management in the Humanitarian Sector This five day executive education programme, run by the Humanitarian Research Group, addresses the management issues specific to the humanitarian sector. It has been designed in collaboration with those working in humanitarian roles in response to the needs that they have expressed. The programme, meant for civilian and military humanitarian workers with ten to fifteen years operational experience in emergency settings, will take place from Monday 15 to Friday 19 March 2010 on Europe Campus, Fontainebleau-France.
