The design and content of the programme is based on award-winning research carried out at INSEAD Humanitarian Research Group on three key areas of humanitarian response:
- Logistics of disaster preparedness and disaster response
- Response coordination
- Inter-sector collaboration
To encourage participation in the classroom, each day is divided into teaching sessions, group work projects and plenary discussions. The professors who lead these sessions include some of INSEAD’s foremost academics from different disciplines.

- Handling financial management
- Providing tools to increase transparency and accountability as well as to track the use of funds
- Examining the link between financial and accounting systems to facilitate better reporting
Negotiation and Decision Making
- Understanding and combining value-claiming and value-creation in negotiations
- Developing and sharpening negotiation skills
- Identifying strategies to achieve a win-win outcome
Leading Change/Developing Yourself and Others
- Identifying and overcoming barriers to change
- Developing ideas to ensure a higher probability of success for change initiatives
- Transitioning from performing tasks to achieving results through delegation
- Managing yourself and empowering others for maximum impact
The programme runs for five days, and includes opportunities between lectures and coursework for you to share insights and build mutually beneficial relationships.
