Professional experience:
Jean-Marc is a Partner at Roland Berger, a top tier strategy consulting firm owned by its 240 partners, with more than 2700 employees in 51 offices. Jean-Marc works in the global Consumer Goods and Retail competence center. He advises corporate, private equity and venture capital clients globally.
Prior to joining Roland Berger, Jean-Marc co-led the Consumer Goods and Retail practice of Booz & Company in France. Before that, Jean-Marc was an Entrepreneur, having founded Everest & Company in 2008, an executive search and advisory firm based in Paris and Dubai, specialized in Private Equity, Retail, Consumer Goods and Professional Services. Prior to Everest, Jean-Marc was a Senior Manager at Bain & Company in Paris.
Before that, Jean-Marc had spent his post-INSEAD years at Unilever. He started in 1999 as marketing group manager in charge of the largest food category in the UK, and then moved to Rotterdam headquarters to lead the post-merger integration process of Bestfoods (acquired for US$ 24 billion in 2000). He then became Secretary of the European Board in 2002, and later in 2005 Vice-President Finance, and Director in charge of the restructuring program called ‘One Unilever’.
Jean-Marc is an active investor and advisor of several start-ups, including notably LidEarth Kiteboarding, Omega TV, Sharokee etc. He launched the INSEAD Business Angels Association in France back in 2008.
At INSEAD, Jean-Marc is Entrepreneur-in-Residence since 2008. On 8th November 2011, he was elected President of INSEAD Alumni Association in France, strong of 6000+ alumni.
Jean-Marc is married, father of four children, and holds French and Canadian passports. He received his MBA from INSEAD in 1999 and graduated from ESTP in Paris with a MSc in civil engineering and architecture.
