The Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise area at INSEAD is unique in that it has a pro-active strategy to promote the development of focused centres and initiatives to better link INSEAD’s capabilities with the needs of external stakeholders. We have currently three main Centres and two Initiatives:
Entrepreneurship:
The Rudolf and Valeria Maag International Centre for Entrepreneurship is the catalyst for innovations at INSEAD in entrepreneurship teaching, research and outreach. Its vision is to position INSEAD as the top business school for entrepreneurship by 2015 and contribute to value creation in society by facilitating and accelerating entrepreneurship.
Family Enterprise:
The Wendel International Centre for Family Enterprise allows INSEAD to run events and educational programmes that benefit family firms across the globe. The Centre also helps to raise awareness of the importance of family enterprise as a proven successful business model.
Leadership:
The INSEAD Global Leadership Centre addresses the fundamental questions about what makes effective business leaders and how to become one. It offers a unique global perspective that incorporates a psychological and clinical approach together with effective group leadership coaching and the development of innovative 360° feedback survey instruments.
Private Equity:
The Global Private Equity Initiative initial research focus is on new frontiers in PE: The Role of Emerging Markets and the needs of Limited Partners. GPEI aims not merely to provide information or advice; but to help professionals generate their own unique insights.Traditional private equity categories may need to be re-thought in fast-growth markets. GPEI is based on the new INSEAD campus in Abu Dhabi but has a global mandate.
Social Entrepreneurship:
The social entrepreneurship initiative aims to leverage INSEAD’s expertise in research and education to develop the academic field of social entrepreneurship and deliver the world’s best executive training for social entrepreneurs. Social entrepreneurs have emerged in every sector and nearly every market as a force for positive change in society.
