Jennifer Petriglieri is a graduate of the IMD MBA program, and received her undergraduate degree from Nottingham University, in the UK. She is currently based in the Organisational Behaviour department at INSEAD where she is completing her Doctoral Studies. Her research focuses on the processes underlying the formation, undoing, and transformation of personal and professional identities. She has investigated the development of high potential managers, the career transitions of women professionals, the function of management education as a space for the consolidation and change of individuals’ sense of self, and the impact of professional and organisational crises on the identities of senior leaders in global corporations.

In addition to her current research at INSEAD, Jennifer is heavily involved in experiential leadership development for multinationals from a variety of industries. She has contributed to Executive Education programmes on leadership and team dynamics both at IMD and Copenhagen Business School, working as a group consultant and personal coach with a range of participants including MBAs, middle managers and senior executives. Her leadership consulting and coaching pay particular attention to the interplay between individuals’ life stories and group memberships and their decision making and professional style in leadership roles.

Prior to her MBA, Jennifer spent several years in Organisational Development consulting. Her work spanned large scale restructuring and organisational change projects, designing and implementing leadership development initiatives, and managing corporate communications for global corporations in the retail and pharmaceutical sectors.

A native of the UK, Jennifer has worked and lived in several European countries and East Africa. She currently lives in the outskirts of Fontainebleau, France, with her husband and two small children.
