Welcome

To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Alliance, an evening with the Deans of INSEAD and Wharton will be held on:

8 March 2011

6.30pm – 9.00pm

The Gherkin, 30 St Mary Axe, London

The evening will include a discussion about ‘Business Education and the Future’.

Established in 2001, the INSEAD-Wharton Alliance is based on the shared belief that tomorrow’s market leaders in management education must have a global reach and be part of a global business education and knowledge network.

Now in its tenth year of continuous growth, the Alliance is the broadest and deepest venture of its kind among two business schools anywhere in the world.

Since its beginnings:

  • More than 1,000 MBA students have participated in the exchange, providing them with the opportunity to study across three continents.
  • Over 1,100 executives have participated in Alliance Open Enrolment Executive Education Programmes, leveraging the knowledge and experience of faculty from both schools, via the five campuses: Singapore, Abu Dhabi, Philadelphia, Fontainebleau and San Francisco.
  • Through the Alliance Center for Global Research & Education, the Alliance has expanded research opportunities for faculty and doctoral students across campuses. Over 60 faculty members have visited or taught at the partner school. Faculty and doctoral student exchange has led to the establishment of joint dissertation committees and the use of technology supported learning. Together the schools’ faculties and doctoral students have published articles, books and cases on globalisation, marketing, strategy, management, and finance.
  • The Alliance has brought alumni communities from both schools together at joint events around the world, such as the Wharton Global Alumni Forums in Seoul, South Korea in May 2010, in Madrid in June 2010, and in Dubai in March 2009; an INSEAD-Wharton Executive dinner in Paris in May 2009; Wharton Regional Clubs and INSEAD National Alumni Associations’ joint events.
