INSEAD is once again the sponsor and Academic Partner of the "Etats de la France 2012’. The business partners of this 7th edition are Accenture, Adecco Groupe France, BASF, GE, and Siemens. The conference distinguishes itself from many similar events by providing a commentary upon France from both French and international perspectives.
The conference examines France in four “states”: economic, social, political, and international. INSEAD’s Annual Report produced and submitted by Professors Ludo Van der Heyden and Bruno Lanvin provides a lead-in to each of the conference roundtables. To do so, INSEAD samples its Alumni and MBA students whose views form a basis for the report. INSEAD Alumni and MBA students provide a unique look on France because of their knowledge of and presence in business, and because the Alumni network contain a rich variety of French and international individuals with experience and views about France.
The topic for this year’s conference is “Turn-around (of France) and Fairness.” For more details on these topics, we refer the interested reader to the article “Why Fairness Matters” by Ludo Van der Heyden and Thomas Limberg, in The International Commerce Review 2007.
