ETH Alumn and Neuroscientist-turned-entrepreneur, Pascal Kaufmann, Founder and Visionary of Starmind speaks on "Augmenting Human Intelligence – On the Symbiosis of Man and Machine". Kaufmann is behind the Swiss Mindfire program aiming at creating human level Artificial Intelligence, pushing the limits of the unknown. Obsessed with robots, cyborgs, artificial intelligence and brain research, the AI Tech entrepreneur researched the interface between living brains and robots at Chicago medical school in the U.S. where he formulated his vision “to think with the power of 1,000 brains”. Kaufmann states that we should aim for a world where machines are doing our jobs, freeing us from unnecessary work and hassles.
