Global Entrepreneurship Forum

INSEAD Global Entrepreneurship Forum (GEF)
19-20 June 2008, INSEAD, Boulevard de Constance, 77305, Fontainebleau, France

“Cultivating entrepreneurship.  Worldwide.”

At INSEAD we are committed to cultivating entrepreneurship, not just amongst our students and alumni, but in the community of entrepreneurs worldwide.

This two-day event focused on networking and delegate participation for the benefit of all attending.  We welcomed approximately 100 alumni entrepreneurs and early-stage investors, and selected guests, from a range of countries and industry backgrounds.

The Forum opened with an address by Gilles Babinet, founder of numerous successful start-ups including Absolut, Musiwave, Eyeka, and mxp4 and our guests were exposed to some cool ideas from experienced and young entrepreneurs and organised workshops on challenging issues faced by start-up companies, such as pitching to investors and hiring of staff, and panel discussions on stimulating topics such as differences in seed funding across countries.

The exceptional list of speakers and panelists included the founders of WiMax, Aló, and ActiveHotels and investors from Index Ventures, Wellington Partners, Atlas Venture, Accel Partners and others.

VentureNet2.0 will be lauched shortly and we hope to give you a preview of its functions over the next few weeks. VentureNet is the easy to use and versatile online INSEAD community for entrepreneurs and investors. Any subsequent documentation for this event, such as delegate lists, conference materials, etc. will be available on VentureNet. We will be emailing you the link in due course.

You can contact the organiser, Anya Navidski, at anya.navidski@insead.edu for any further questions.

Our thanks to all who participated and we look forward to seeing you all again at the next Annual Global Entrepreneurship Forum.
