The INSEAD Business Leader for the World Awards honor business leaders who have set new standards in building successful, sustainable, global enterprises that span multiple cultures, embrace diversity in all its aspects, and contribute significantly to economic and social prosperity. The awards reflect INSEAD’s founding vision and continued commitment to bring together people, cultures, and ideas – among its students, faculty, clients, and partners – to develop the global business leaders who will inspire others and the innovative business thinking that can transform organizations, communities, and lives. In presenting the awards, INSEAD hopes to invite a deeper consideration of what it means to be a global business leader.
The 2012 awards, presented at a gala benefit dinner in New York, will honor Samuel J. Palmisano, Former Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, IBM, and Paul Polman, Chief Executive Officer, Unilever. The event will also raise funds to further INSEAD’s mission of developing thoughtful, responsible business leaders and pioneering entrepreneurs who have a global outlook, and the leading edge research and that can drive innovation and have a world-changing effect.
