Manfred Kets de Vries holds the Raoul de Vitry d’Avaucourt Chair of Leadership Development at INSEAD, France, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi. In addition, he is the Director of INSEAD’s Global Leadership Center. He is also the Distinguished Professor of Leadership Development Research at the European Institute of Management and Technology in Berlin.
He has held professorships at McGill University, the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales, Montreal, and the Harvard Business School, and he has lectured at management institutions around the world. He is the author, co-author, or editor of 30 books, and more than 300 articles. His books and articles have been translated into 27 languages.
He is program director of INSEAD’s top management program “The Challenge of leadership,” and the Scientific Director of the program “Consulting and Coaching for Change.” Kets de Vries is a consultant on organizational design, and strategic human resource management to leading European, US, Canadian, Australian, African, and Asian companies.
As an educator and consultant he has worked in more than forty countries. He is a member of seventeen editorial boards. He has been elected a Fellow of the Academy of Management. He is also the recipient of the International Leadership Association Lifetime Achievement Award for his contributions to leadership research and development.
The Financial Times, Le Capital, Wirtschaftswoche, and The Economist have judged Manfred Kets de Vries one of the leading thinkers on management.
