Biography

Virginia Picchi was born in the United States and received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the City University of New York in 1996. After a post-doctoral fellowship at the Albert Einstein School of Medicine, where she worked with suicidal and homicidal adolescents, Virginia moved to Paris. She worked for the International Red Cross, the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM)

 and the Association Mentale du XIIIeme in Paris. She completed post-doctoral psychoanalytic training at the Société Psychanalytique de Paris in 2008. She has been working at INSEAD since 2002 and was named the first Director of Psychological Services in 2013.

Virginia has worked with multi-cultural populations throughout her career and has a particular interest in cross-cultural issues and student mental health.
