Biography

Daniel Irago grew up in Spain and Brazil, and has been based in Paris since 1996. He received his Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the Université René Descartes (Paris V) in 2001. He then completed a Master’s in Research at the University Denis Diderot (Paris VII), where he wrote a thesis on his 10 years of clinical work with asylum seekers and political refugees.

Daniel has postgraduate training as a psychoanalyst (Société Psychanalytique de Paris) and in psychosomatic treatment (Institut de Psychosomatique de Paris). In addition, he is co-founder of the psychoanalytic online periodical Les Enfants de la Psychanalyse and has a private practice in Paris. Daniel has been working at INSEAD since 2013.

Daniel has a long-standing interest in multi-cultural issues in psychology, the psychological effects of displacement and migration, and the interconnection between body and mind.

Professional affiliation: Member of the Société Psychanalytique de Paris, European Federation of Psychoanalysis and International Psychoanalytic Association. Affiliated with the Institut de Psychosomatique de Paris.
