Dean Frank Brown authors new book on Transcultural Leadership

Book Offers Strategies for Leaders Conducting Business Worldwide

It's highly likely that you have been in a situation during your career where there has been some type of cultural misunderstanding. It's this type of international imbalance that underscores the growing need for transcultural leadership in today's global business environment, explains Dean Frank Brown in his forthcoming book, The Global Business Leader: Practical Advice for Success in a Transcultural Marketplace.

In the book, Dean Brown focuses on the type of leader required to operate in today's evolving global economy – the transcultural leader - leaders that have the ability to work in and across different cultures. Through real world examples and personal anecdotes, he covers key areas that are integral to exemplary leadership such as networking, team building, innovation, crisis management and work/life balance.

The Global Business Leader is a valuable read for leaders at all levels; from up-and-coming executives who aspire to senior positions to those who already hold leadership roles and are seeking a better understanding of transcultural leadership issues. Regardless of where you are in your career, Dean Brown's book provides unique insights into how to hone particular skills. Perhaps most important, it aligns with INSEAD's mission to develop leaders who emerge from their studies with a unique global perspective that combines sophisticated business knowledge with cultural sensitivity and awareness.

The book will publish on November 2, 2007 in the U.S. and Europe with a slightly earlier date of October 19, 2007 in Asia. Books will be available at INSEAD's Leadership Summit in Asia and can also be pre-ordered online at Footnote or Amazon.com.
