National Alumni Association USA & INSEAD Alumni Fund Event

Dean Hawawini with Dean-elect Brown

A Celebration of Today, A Toast to Tomorrow was held in New York on May 15. The cocktail party was the second time that US-based alumni gathered together for an annual fundraising event in what is sure to be a new American INSEAD tradition.

More than 120 alumni, US Council Members, and friends attended to honor the accomplishments of Dean Gabriel Hawawini and celebrate the appointment of J. Frank Brown as INSEAD's next Dean. Through fundraising for the event US alumni contributed US$8,500 to the INSEAD Alumni fund. That amount was supplemented by a gift of US$5,000 from the Corporate Sponsor of the event.

Rolf Abdon MBA '70, Chairman of the INSEAD Alumni Fund, was present from Sweden to express his appreciation for the generosity shown by alumni and guests. Dean Hawawini spoke on the many exciting new educational, operational, and building ventures which INSEAD currently has underway. Dean-elect Brown, accompanied by his family, expressed his enthusiasm for his new position, which he will assume in July.

The evening was held in the sumptuous Rockefeller Ballroom of the Harold Pratt House
