After two years of discussions with the Economic Development Board and Ministry of Education, the INSEAD (Singapore) Fund has been registered as a Charity and the Fund has been granted the status of an Institution of a Public Character (IPC) from 10/05/2010 to 09/05/2012.

IPC status is the highest and most prestigious award in Singapore for an international academic institution and a key implication of the IPC status is that donations to the INSEAD Singapore Fund are tax-deductible for tax residents in Singapore. And, in order to encourage greater charitable giving, the Minister of Finance has extended tax deductibility to 2.5 times for donations made before December 31, 2015. After that time, the percentage of deductibility may change, but that is yet to be announced and we will keep you informed if it does alter in any way.

In honour of INSEAD’s 50th Anniversary, the National Alumni Association (NAA) Singapore joined with 5 other NAAs around the world, as well as the International Alumni Association and 46 individual alumni to endow a scholarship for deserving and diverse students in perpetuity.
